Vibrant Leaves Leaf Lace Wrap Knitting Pattern

A knit leaf lace wrap with tapered tips at both ends, and an edging that grows along with the body so there is no border to pick up afterward. Worked as one long rectangle in fingering weight, it blocks to a generous 76" and drapes like a shawl.

Designed by Savita Khurana for the Harvest Hues issue of Knotions, inspired by autumn leaves gathering along roadsides and blown into drifts by the wind.

Yarn: Fingering. Shown in Cascade Heritage Silk, 5642 Blood Orange, 710 yds (650 m)
Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm) straights, minimum 10" (25 cm), or circulars for your preferred method of working flat, or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 26 sts and 38 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette; 24 sts and 36 rows = 4" (10 cm) in pattern after blocking
Finished sizes: Petite (Tall) 47” [119 cm] (76” [193cm]) long and 20” [51cm] wide
